OPEN DAYS
Magdalene hosts a number of different Open Days each year. For the exact dates see:
http://www.magd.cam.ac.uk/open-days/
Open Days are your chance to look around the College and to meet current students. During the University-wide Open Days in late June/early July, current students will be on hand to offer tours of the grounds and accommodation, and to answer any questions you have about life at Magdalene or at Cambridge in general.
As well as having students present from a wide range of subjects, many of our Directors of Studies (the staff in charge of students’ academic welfare) are available to discuss subject specific details with you, and may also run sample lectures and talks.
If you would like to visit Magdalene but are unable to attend an official Open Day, it is usually possible for us to arrange for you to visit College at any time. To arrange such a visit, or for any questions you might have about Open Days or applying in general, you can e-mail the JCR Access and Academic Officer on jcr-access-academic@magd.cam.ac.uk, or the Magdalene College Admissions Office on admissions@magd.cam.ac.uk.
SCHOOL VISITS
Magdalene hosts visits each year from schools from around Merseyside, North Wales, Ceredigion and the Isle of Mann. These can be a great way to see the College during term time, to talk to current students and to get to a feel for Cambridge as a place before you apply. These visits usually include a tour of College and a question and answer session with current students.
If you’re interested in visiting Magdalene for the day with your school, you can contact the college at admissions@magd.cam.ac.uk
